Friday, Saturday, and Shopping!

The holiday season is here! That includes Black Friday! Which means…..BLACK FRIDAY SALES!!!!Its my favorite especially because it has two of my favorite words: Friday and Sale! After all that turkey and pecan pie, we must do something to burn all those calories and get the exercise we need! So walking around the mall like crazy seems a great way to go!Multitasking is what all girls are good at! Getting our exercise and shopping done at the same time is one of our many superpowers.

More leaning towards the shopping…Christmas shopping and self-shopping is real challenge during this weekend, but its the weekend you can’t miss out on. So here are some tips on how to survive the rest of the weekend without burning a hole through your wallet.

First, Don’t forget about your family and your close friends. That tends to happen when we hear the word: SALE! Try to shop for them first and make sure to keep a list of every person and what you think they might like. Trust me. By the time you get to the mall, you’ll know where to go instead of trying every store and it will save you a lot of time and a lot of money! We like to satisfy our close ones, but we can only get so much..Try to stick to one to two pieces each person. Except your mom and dad…they deserve 1000 things, but try to stick to 1 main piece and 3 or so more complementary pieces for them! Such as a framed family photo, and if they are a really great cooks…customized aprons, etc.(Just thinking at loud here..)

Second, Remember that you have a limit! And there is no getting passed it. Also remember that its better to pay with cash during this time and if its too much of a temptation..Keep your credit cards at home! Bring a friend to keep you in the loop and away from that limit line.

Third, Shopping: its a wild world! Once you step into a store, you feel like buying everything and that’s when you loose focus and can’t seem to remember why you walked in or for whom you were going to buy for. That’s what a store can do to you. You can completely loose control and try to shop for yourself before checking every person off your list. One can deny it, but it happens.

Fourth, once you finished shopping for everyone else, its all about shopping for you! You are still on a budget and still try to maintain calm when someone else grabs the last pair of shoes you wanted in your size…(try not to get in a shoe fight and risk getting kicked happens) but its time to explore the stores and keep an open mind! Its also important you do your research. Try to visit the website of the stores you want to go and check what selected items are on sale. So when you get the store, you don’t have to keep guessing because trust me..when you get there, it won’t be so neat.

Lastly, if you are out of town or just too darn lazy…you know who you are. Online Shopping is also a way to get great deals and FREE shipping and who doesn’t like the word Free! The only thing that would come across your lovely relationship is that credit card bill…but hey..its for that Family and those friends!❤️And you’ll want to keep those relationships?!

Don’t forget to get yourself something too! Like I say, We girls deserve pearls!

(Be safe out there!)

Blue Jeans & Black Jacket

“I like my money right where I can see it: hanging in my closet.” – Carrie Bradshaw

If you ask me. I have at least three must haves in my closet. They’re not necessarily my favorite things but they are vital to have in the closet all year round (at least for me). Blue jeans, Black leather jacket, and my maxi dress are my essentials. They don’t all correspond to one another but they are my basic and key pieces.

Everybody has gone through that point when they don’t know what to wear…its not fun standing in front of your closet, staring at your clothes, and wanting to scream from the top of your lungs. So I created my “emergency outfits”  so I could turn to my blue jeans and my jacket or my maxi dress for help. Like I said before in a previous post…Its totally ok to wear the same outfit twice, three times, how many ever times it takes for you to finally get sick of it which is not very likely.

Create your essential list! It doesn’t have to be three items. Remember they don’t have to be your favorites, they don’t have to correspond to one another, and they don’t forget to save them for that time of despair.

Sorry to disappoint. but that’s all for now! I’ll talk to you guys next week!!!!!

Balmain x Hurts&Me!

Many of you know that the BALMAIN for H&M Collection came out and sold out this week!!!In my opinion, it was one of the most inspiring collections I have ever seen and I couldn’t wait for it to come out! Sadly, it was gone in a blink of an eye and a dark cloud came over my head. Why it did hurt me that I could no longer purchase anything from that collection for less than $1,000!But I have moved on!? Sort of…

On another note, I have been thinking about how many of the designers from centuries ago to today have always had  inspiration strike them like lighting and then go on a blank period for a while. That’s how its like for many people. Artists, writers, architects, stylists, and musicians all get blocked! I would be lying if I told everyone that I had the perfect topic to write about every week. It happens and many say that the best place and time to get inspired is when you are around extravagant people and places to color those blank spots in your life. Wanting to be an inspiring fashion designer, I know what its like to be completely blocked! I have trouble thinking of new, original ideas and it gets frustrating after a while…But then I realize that no matter if it was already done before or people believe that its out style I still designed it and I love everything that I believe is good enough to get me where I want to be. Maybe for a lot of people is doing better than “good enough” but its still a work of art and it should be admired the most by the artist.

Get inspired and don’t hold back!
