“Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live what is happening.” -Coco Chanel
The summer humidity fades, the leaves fall, and sweater weather is back on. The satisfaction of a thick warm sweater and knee high socks is indescribable. A Houston local like me might have to wait up for that feeling for a while longer knowing that it will be hot and humid up to November… but that isn’t stopping me from searching for my fall wardrobe. Change is good especially when it comes to fashion; great if you change your style to fit your personality better or when you change your outfit to go to a dinner party, but change is stirring when it comes to seasons. May be hard to fold those shorts and tanks and placing them back in your drawer for another year. However, the sweaters come out and so does those cute boots you’ve been dying to wear!
First, don’t take all your summer wardrobe to the back of your closet! Some pieces can totally correspond with your fall attire. T-shirts, blouses, sweaters, and skirts that matched your summer theme can totally compliment those new fall colors. Layering is such a great way to keep to those pieces, but also leaves you ready for any type of weather that day. Say its sunny but cold wind is blowing, any skirt with tights or knee high socks with your boots is a great way to go! The skirt keeps you comfortable and flexible while the tights/socks keep your legs warm.
When it comes to fall, many people think of orange, dark greens and reds, yellow, and brown…but its not always necessarily got be just dark, faded colors. Don’t be afraid or even doubtful to add some color! Like I said, those summer colors don’t have to completely go away. Add some neon or even some metallic textures to your fall outfit. Its still your style no matter what; seasons change, but they shouldn’t change you. Keep your wardrobe, keep your flair, keep your favorite colors alive all year round no matter the circumstances.
Stay cool? while staying warm ?this fall season approaching!
